Gerald Celente: Let Them Eat Losses

This had nothing to do with the so-called “Trickle Down” theory. This was “Gush Up.” In Bush/Obama economics, the richest and biggest that had lost billions through bad investments, or were in danger of going bust, had to be rescued. If the Über-Rich weren’t saved, there would be nothing left to trickle down to the population below. By government decree, those taxpayers who had never felt any trickle to begin with, now had to finance the failed financiers.
If taxpayers found themselves unable to understand the thinking behind “Gush Up,” it was not surprising. Why should it make sense? Nothing else did. The entire financial system had been hijacked by bandits. It was criminal from beginning to end.
For example, in a 2008 interview, hedge fund executive Kyle Bass, who runs Hayman Advisors, described the deceit that was camouflaged by its own complexity as a billion-dollar fraud, “… so complex that The [Wall Street] Journal couldn’t even write about it. That’s how complex it is. It would take teams of lawyers reading indentures, complex flow charts. And then people would look at you with cross-eyes, even if you understood it all. They’d go like, ‘Yeah, well, I don’t see it.’”
The experts engineering the schemes were baffled by the complexity of their creations, and yet insisted upon being bailed out of something that they themselves didn’t understand.
The implicit rationale was that only those Harvard, Princeton and Yale MBAs, Ph.Ds. and LL.Ds. were qualified to pull the levers of power on Wall Street and in Washington. Only they – who had devised the derivative, and conjured up the synthetic credit default swap, and invented the enhanced structured investment vehicle – were equipped to deal with the complexities of contemporary business and finance. Thus, those who didn’t know nevertheless insisted they knew best. The Bigs had to be saved.
In the dying American Empire, there was no longer a place for the small:
The Mom & Pop shop was as passé as the corner candy store.
The family farm – penalized by big government’s “Get Big or Get Out” policies that subsidized factory farms – had become a quaint curiosity.
The village hardware store was hammered by Lowe’s and Home Depot; Staples and Office Depot stomped out the stationery store.
Across the spectrum… finance, defense, insurance, health, news and entertainment… virtually every business sector had been commandeered by the Bigs.
And the bigger they got, the more untouchable they became. TV Money Honeys, fast-talking finance finaglers, Nightly News anchors, Sunday Morning Beltway Blowhards, and Talk Show Tough Guys genuflected, scraped, kissed up and bowed down before those magnificent men in their money machines.
When these kings, queens and aristocrats of 21st-century commerce spoke, their ex cathedra judgments went unquestioned. Thus, when they warned that if the “too big to fail” were allowed to fail the world financial system would collapse, their conclusions went unchallenged. No evidence was provided, no proof was needed, and no explanation was tendered. Harvard, Princeton, Yale… the White Shoe Boyz had spoken. They who invented the “too big to fail” were “too big to question.”
Yet note, as economic conditions declined worldwide, many blamed the crisis on the intrinsic nature of capitalism. But it wasn’t capitalism that failed – it was human nature that was flawed. Capitalism had been corrupted and perverted by the Bigs who, in collusion with the government and faced with the consequences of their own criminal greed, betrayed the system that had enriched them.
The very essence of functioning capitalism that by definition is “…the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market,” was violated and destroyed.
Not only was there no hard evidence demonstrating that saving the “too big to fails” was necessary to save the economy, the rescue plans themselves violated the most cherished tenets of capitalism, which hold that:
Failures should be allowed to fail.
The best will succeed.
Competition is healthy.
Market voids created by failures will be filled by competitors.
No individual, business, institution, nation or empire is too-big-to-fail. Had true capitalism been allowed to function unimpeded, the bloated, over-extended, inefficient and gluttonous firms and industries would have failed. There would have been hardships and losses but, finally rid of its financial tapeworms, the purged system could be restored to health.
No “ism” or “ology” – regardless of purity of intent or moral foundation – is immune to corruption and abuse. While capitalism itself is being blamed for the excesses that brought on financial chaos, prior to the most recent gambling binge, in tandem with the blanket dismantling of safeguards and the overt takeover of Washington by Wall Street, capitalism was responsible for creating one of the world’s most successful and universally admired societies.

Eating Wolf Scat And Howling At The Moon
by Tom RemingtonFebruary 5, 2010
It was Thomas Jefferson who once said, “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” How true! Evidently in Jefferson’s wisdom, he understood people of good conscience. It was perhaps a bit of a rallying cry to the people that remaining silent on issues was good recipe for tyranny, spelled out as loss of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
People of good conscience had an agenda foisted upon them when wolves were released into the Yellowstone National Park and Central Idaho. Foisted because I believe that the entire notion was fraudulent, keeping valuable information from the people and misrepresenting the ultimate goals of those behind the debacle.
I read some place recently that it is part of the character of good conscience people to politely sit by, having no desire to take up opposition or make public spectacles of themselves through protests and verbal combativeness. And as such, one has only to ask, how far can these people of good conscience be pushed before they begin to push back?
When the grass roots Tea Party movement began, most on the left couldn’t rationally deal with it. It must have come as a big shock to many when the Tea Party activists took to the streets in copius numbers, rallying fellow Americans to their cause. After all, street protests are the fingerprint of the liberal left. Still, the left cannot and will not come to grips with the concept that those good conscience people will push back when pushed too far.
After 8 years of George W. Bush, Americans wanted something different. They swallowed the campaign rhetoric of Senator Barack Hussein Obama and yet refused to listen to the facts of the man’s past. One year later, eyes have begun to open to the realization this isn’t the change they wanted. They are pushing back. We became witnesses to this thrust in New Jersey, Virginia and most recently Massachusetts. The people, good conscience people, revolted against what is being crammed down their throats. Remaining silent appears to no longer be an option.
It is acutely insulting when the good conscience people’s president appears before the nation and essentially tells them they are too stupid to understand what the health care reform bill is about. His excuse was he failed to explain it to you and me.
The good conscience people also see with their own two eyes when there is hypocrisy and double standards. When George W. Bush was president and the opposition party dissented, it was declared one of the grandest exhibitions of American patriotism. With that same opposition party now in control of the White House and both Houses of Congress, dissent is wicked and evil, very much unpatriotic.
The good conscience people may be passive and difficult to motivate but they are not so stupid that they cannot see what is before them. Today, Charles Krauthammer writes about a great peasant revolt, pointing a finger at those on the left for ignoring what the people want, citing the push back by voters in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts.
Today, dissent from the governing orthodoxy is nihilistic malice. “They made a decision,” explained David Axelrod, “they were going to sit it out and hope that we failed, that the country failed” — a perfect expression of liberals’ conviction that their aspirations are necessarily the country’s, that their idea of the public good is the public’s, that their failure is therefore the nation’s……………………….
For liberals, the observation that “the peasants are revolting” is a pun. For conservatives, it is cause for uncharacteristic optimism. No matter how far the ideological pendulum swings in the short term, in the end the bedrock common sense of the American people will prevail.
Good conscience people don’t care if it’s a liberal or conservative issue. When something strikes them beside the head, if it’s large enough to cause a big enough impact, they will push back.
Fifteen years of water under the bridge, the wolf debate in the West is no closer to a resolve. There is however, a pushing back, a peasant revolt, if you will, far from reaching a “great” peasant revolt. It was nearly one year ago that I warned of “wolf wars“. The wars would be the result of the wolf advocates refusing to back down from their unreasonable demands about protecting the gray wolf, cramming down the throats of people the impacts from too many wolves they didn’t want nor thought they were getting.
Much of the political and social atmosphere that exists in wolf reintroduction country can be attributed to the actions of an unrelenting group that cares nothing at all about what the good conscience people of the area want. These wolf advocates have destroyed their support in the battle for public opinion by representing themselves as the authorities that know better what the people need than the people.
Where once they had their way, the good conscience people are pushing back. The quiet and hard working people have had enough. More and more people are seeing before their eyes the results of too many wolves, far more than the good conscience people were promised.
Groups are organizing to fight back. The good conscience people were willing to have a few wolves in their woods but not at the expense they are now realizing. It didn’t have to be this way but this was the decision the wolf advocates chose. It’s the path they now must walk.
We are also now seeing actions being taken by the border states around the wolf reintroduction area. Utah wants a law forbidding wolves anywhere in the state. Why is that? Has that state’s attitude been influenced by what they can see going on in their neighbor states? They are pushing back. Had the wolf lovers backed off and listened to what the people wanted, it might not have come to this. For wolf advocates, this is a serious blow to their efforts and a somber loss of what little respect they had.
With the refusal of the wolf advocate groups and wildlife officials to listen to others, to hear what the people want, the good conscience people, they face a rude awakening. To scoff at the good conscience people telling them the only way to contract diseases from wolves is to eat the wolves feces, is a direct insult of their intelligence. The good conscience people will not tolerate this kind of tyrannical rule. They are pushing back. They will tell them to “eat wolf scat and go howl at the moon”!

Senate Health Care Bill Passes During The Night While America Slept
by Tom RemingtonDecember 21, 2009
‘Twas a few nights before Christmas, when all through the Senate, corruption ran deep the stench of bribery did seep. Yes, while you and I slept, the corruptocrats in Washington slithered and slinked like any predator reptile would do. After the bribes were paid out, Dingy Harry and his entourage of criminal abettors, crammed the Senate’s version of Obamacare down our throats.
We the people, no longer matter to this despicable group of camel dung. People from every walk of life spoke out against Obamacare, yet it fell on deaf ears. It is what the communists wanted.
Some in the Senate don’t care. They think they are better than the rest of us. They think they know more than you and I do. We are thought of as ignorant, common folks, subjects in need of having our rear ends wiped. Others have an agenda, most are simply so corrupt it places America on the verge of something catastrophic. Follow the money.
One Senator expressed his hatred, his ignorance, while epitomizing the scum that now rules politics. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) called those who oppose Obamacare “birthers”, “fanatics”, “right-wing militia”, and “Aryan support groups”.
It has come to this! Bury your head all you want. The United States of America has reached a point of being on the verge, sitting on the precipice of destruction. The pond scum that Whitehouse is, perhaps unknowingly, became a prophet.
“Too many colleagues are embarked on a desperate, no-holds-barred mission of propaganda, obstruction and fear,” he said. “History cautions us of the excesses to which these malignant, vindictive passions can ultimately lead. Tumbrils have rolled through taunting crowds. Broken glass has sparkled in darkened streets. Strange fruit has hung from southern trees.”………………………..
“day of judgment”, “day of reckoning”
The evil has blinded Whitehouse to a point he is unaware of his own wicked self, believing himself to be righteous above others, while being full of his own wickedness and casting that first stone of judgment on others.
This corruption, this complete lack of “we the people”, a total disregard for the United State Constitution, is shared by all in Washington. This iniquitous Congress is no longer defined by right or left, liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat. Greed, narcissism, elitism, disrespect, along with every sin known to man, rules the day there.
Once the voting was completed, the brave republicans stepped up to the podiums around Washington claiming they have only just begun to fight. With their lack of action prior to this vote, why now do they think they can save face by promising to pick up the sword?
There are none in Washington that deserve to represent the people of the United States of America – no, not one. In our own denial, we insist we are a free country. Really? Compared to what and when?
I think Sen. Whitehouse may actually see the hand writing on the wall. History has taught us the people will rebel. Unfortunately, Whitehouse, like all the rest in Congress, have no respect for the people they were sworn to look out for and the Constitution to uphold. He and others think we don’t know how. He thinks those of us who oppose his and Obama’s socialist/fascist/Marxist ways, are the ones screwed up in the head.
The table is being set and it’s almost complete. It’s only a matter of time now before the fate of America will be left in the hands of the people. The Obama administration is bent on the systematic destruction of America. It is the only way his one world government can be formed. We the people can continue to bury our heads and crying out, “It will never happen in this country!” Or, we can open our eyes and see it happening right before our eyes. Is this that hope and change you wanted? Maybe it is but it’s not what I’m at all interested and I’ll not sit by and let it happen.
Pray and ask God for wisdom. He will show you if you are honest. We live in a world were people are willing to kill other humans because their have been taught to fear the end of the world due to man’s influence on the climate. Think of how insane that is.
We have spent more money in this country than can ever be paid back. Reality will come crashing home to us all, once this comes full circle.
We have a president touring the world apologizing for America.
The same president has turned his back on Israel. Biblical history has shown God’s wrath on those who turn against His people.
This same president announced to the world that America is no longer a Christian nation.
He has surrounded himself with some of the most radical, corrupt and perverted people he can. He appointed a “Safe School Czar” who provides a recommended reading list to our school children all about homosexuality, perversion and outright satanic evil. What does that say about our leader?
There is no end to the list and if this health care bill passes, the United States of America will collect money from every citizen for the purpose of killing unborn babies. There is no turning back from this.
When Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was asked where in the Constitution Congress had the authority to mandate that everyone has to buy government-run health insurance, her only response was to ask if the person asking that question was serious.
Madam Speaker, Senate Leader Reid and President Barack Obama; I have a serious question. Where in our Constitution does Congress have the authority to force me to contribute tax dollars in direct opposition to the will of God and the laws of our land?
This is what we’ve come to.

Is It Time Yet To Start Asking When Does Obama Work?
by Tom RemingtonOctober 26, 2009
*Scroll for Updates*
I’m sure much of the media is scared to ask the question but honestly isn’t it time? Between a continuous and unending campaign strategy, vacationing, trips abroad with the family and now more golf in 9 months that Bush played in over 2 years, it’s time to ask when does this guy ever sit at his desk in the Oval Office and work?
There was not enough hours in a day to pass Wall Street bailouts, bank bailouts, Freddie and Fanny, TARP stimulus, auto industry bailout, mortgage industry bailout, health care reform but now that we have troops being killed on a regular basis in Afghanistan, he’s not going to rush into making any rash decisions…….while he goes out and shoots golf.
Oh, sorry! That’s right! We are supposed to give him a chance aren’t we. Yeah? Well, is that a satisfactory response to those who are dying in a war he won’t recognize and deal with?
And while I’m in a mood fit to be tied, I never heard one person ask a simple question about Obama’s comment he made the day he found out he had won the Nobel Prize. He told the world that his daughter came in at 6 a.m. that morning and woke him up to tell him the news. 6 a.m.? 6 a.m.? What is the leader of the free world, a man who has soldiers dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, a president who has seen millions of people lose their jobs and homes, etc., still doing in bed a 6 a.m.?
*Update* 10/26/09 11:45 a.m.
It seems the news article that appeared today in the Politico about President Obama having played golf 24 times in nine months has riled up Bush haters on the left.
If you read Jake Tapper’s piece, he writes that the new president of NOW, Terry O’Neill, thinks there should be more women playing golf with Obama when he goes. Take notice that there is never a question of how often he plays but that only more women should be with him.
You can further read O’Neill’s comments about the role of women versus men when it comes to the economic problems we face today.
“It’s extremely important now especially for the president to have as many women as men in his closest circle of advisors. … If women had been at the heads of the companies on Wall Street instead of these masters of the universe then we might not be in the predicament that we’re in today.”
I could care less if the president had all women in his cabinet. The crap in that statement is, once again, the revelation of the double standard our society seems willing to accept. Reverse the genders in that statement to read, “If men had been ………..we might not be in the predicament…….”
Oh my! But further read the comments after Tapper’s article. Several readers are attempting to justify Obama’s multiple golf outing to the “over 1,000″ days of vacation Bush took – spread out over 8 years. Honest people understand that the vast majority of those “vacation” days were taken to Crawford, Texas. It is disingenuous for any intelligent person to make such a claim. We all know that Crawford, Texas was set up as a working white house and that President Bush spent most of his days there working the same as he would have been while in the Oval Office. In addition, it gave Cindy Sheehan a place to camp out and protest, along the road to the ranch.
So what now? Are we to believe that Obama brings along his “working white house” for his nearly weekly golf outings? Or was his working white house in Air Force One when it was flying over Manhattan? Or maybe it was in Paris, France, or Martha’s Vineyard? Perhaps he sets his up out on the basketball court.
Give me a break!
Time To Ask Who’s Side Is Obama On?
by Tom RemingtonOctober 8, 2009
With reports leaking out this afternoon, it now appears Obama is not interested in fighting the Taliban. He says that the Taliban and Al-Qaida are two separate entities and that we will no longer fight the Taliban. He is also suggesting that the Taliban be given some amount of rule in the Afghanistan government.
The question in my mind becomes who’s side is Obama on? He either supports the efforts of the Taliban to kill U.S. troops or he is so naive and ignorant to think he can appease them. He is a fool and is thus responsible for the deaths of American troops.
Because of his willingness to pander to the extremists, showing any intelligent person willing to open their eyes, that he cares little for the national security of this country and is willing to let Americans die so he can continue to make friends with the enemy. Where I come from that is called treason. Is this man so ignorant?
It is for these reasons that the Congress and the American people should immediately begin demanding that our troops be taken out of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Obama says that only Al-Qaida is our enemy and we know that he and his fellow socialist democrats believe there is no Al-Qaida in Iraq, so let’s get the hell out now. We have no reason to be in that region at all. Obama has turned this country’s back on Israel and seems more interested in giving our sworn enemies whatever they want.
This president is the biggest fool this country has ever had the mind to elect to lead this country. He is clueless on how to lead and has zero knowledge of being a commander in chief. He has surrounded himself with people just like him, a bunch of green horn radicals who hate this country and everything it once stood for.
Contrary to what the First Lady in Chief said about how she felt about being an American, this is the first time in my life I feel ashamed and embarrassed to be an American and having Barack Hussein Obama as my president.
God saves us all.
Health and Why You Care to Reform
by Al RemingtonOctober 8, 2009
A number of pictures come to mind with the words health, care, diet or over-weight. It is assumed that a diet or some exercise will fix poor health. When in fact our previous lifestyle has gotten us into our unhealthy condition. And, in that reasoning, “until I loose the weight” becomes temporary; not to mention it is looked upon as something dreadful and full of tasks.
Len Saputo M.D. speaks of the importance of using a holistic approach in medicine. People should only consider drugs/surgery for a medical problem after they have exhausted other avenues, such as lifestyle changes, and vitamins/supplements.
Dr. Fred Bisci, in his new book, discusses reversing Type 2 diabetes with a raw food or health regimen diet. He characterized Type 2 diabetes as lifestyle related, brought on by eating too many processed foods. While there are different emphases in raw food, such as fruit vs. greens/sprouts, the common denominator in healing, is leaving out the processed and unhealthy foods.
The current state of health for the individual depends on how well or how poorly the body processes the junk-food put into it.
What is real food?
Incredients: this is the place where the reading list of incredients on the back of the “food” container is extensive and the words are difficult to pronounce. The longer the list, the further it is from food. If you can’t pronounce it; certainly, do not consume it.
The preservatives to keep shelf-life is killing Your life. Accumulative, and over time it stresses and hinders the natural healing machine – your body; which works very hard to process un-natural chemicals.
We are accustomed to adding sugar at leasure, to our daily intake. Equal to six cups, the average american eats, from the FDA sanctioned food pyramid balanced diet, mostly carbohydrates(sugar)-60%, some protein(protein)-30 – 35%, and a little good fat-5%.
Private enterprise suggests reversing carbohydrates and protein in the “food pyramid”. Reason: protein builds lean body mass – muscles. In reversing the two roles, half as much sugar is consumed and twice as much protein.
In as much as we’re not looking to build muscular bodies, we need enough muscle mass for our particular frame, size, skelital weight, etc.
Sadly, the same balanced diet set out by the FDA is identical to that used in pig farming. I can’t see profits in skinny pigs.
Health is a choice; yours. Lifestyle change has been mentioned because our current lifestyle of eating makes us look the way we do today; overweight, unhealthy and wondering if health care should be a right.
Real food has natural sugars and ensymes. Fruit, veggies, all have specific functions in nutrition enabling digestion. When there are no foreign chemicals present; Now is the time for the body to do what the body does – heal itself.
Insulin is produced in the pancreas as a form of sugar and helps absorbtion but with the added six cups we injest each day, the result is Insulinemia. Diabetes is wide-spread in America. Shock decscribes the state in which early stages of diabetes affects the pancreas; for the simple fact – too much sugar. The pancreas is in over-load, not knowing to produce or shut down. It’s in shock.
The disfuctioning pancreas can not, in it’s current state, do it’s job of burning fat cells between meals. It would; if it were allowed to. That’s why it is hard to loose weight. In other words – loose the sugar. Real food has it’s own sugars that, with practice and time, you will be able to taste, smell and love. Promise.
A lifetime of eating one way, is hard to change.
After a few years, you may even forget what kind of things you used to eat.
Consequently, for the duration that we have been eating poorly, eating well requires a decision to change. Initially, it can be difficult without help. The hardest part is deciding to do it, or take the chance your body will not hold up under the stress.
Fifteen years ago, lifestyle-change and health were never in the same sentence. As of late, the language is coming around to rest on searching ears because; let’s face it. We’re fat. People have looked externally for health when, in fact, it is found internally and You have to do it.
