Gold Hits New High
by Steve RemingtonOctober 6, 2009
How many ways can we reference ‘To the Moon Alice’? Gold is going to the moon. This morning, gold hit an all time new high, reaching $1037/oz. Could this be a reflection of yesterday’s news regarding a myriad of countries looking to ditch the dollar? Currently the USD is trading low at 76.328.
There have been many predictions regarding the price of gold and where it is heading. Some say $1500, while others are even estimating an eventual climb to $5,000. We’ll keep an eye on it.
To The Moon Alice, And Now Bomb It
by Steve RemingtonOctober 6, 2009
Friday, NASA plans on bombing the moon. Yeah that’s right. Kabooom… It must be since we have a mountain full of debt reaching the moon, we need to move it out of the way to pile on even more??
OK, the real reason is that they believe there is water on the moon in the form of ice. You see, over millions and billions of years a lot of things have hit the moon such as comets. The water from these comets after collision settles at the bottom of these deep craters, mostly near the moon’s poles. Since the craters are so deep they are permanently in a shadowed area, causing the water to settle and freeze. NASA claims that this ice could have be just sitting there for a long time, even millions or billions of years. Some estimates indicate there could be billions of tons of ice located at the south pole.
So the idea is to bomb the crap out of the moon to reveal this ice. Then we can go in and take samples and find out if martians once inhabited the moon but moved to Mars instead since the people on Earth were so ill informed about global warming that not only did we destroy our own planet but that of the moon’s??
OK maybe not. But NASA is planning on bombing the Cabeus A crater into oblivion. You can see the crater in the following picture:

There will be two impacts at 11:30 GMT (Early morning for the U.S.) on October 9th. So make sure you aren’t anywhere near there in your travels. When all said and done, the result of the impact will spread across many kilometers. What’s really cool is that if you have a telescope you will actually be able to see a bright flash on the moon. It will be easier to spot since the crater is in a dark part of the moon, so it will light up real well.
Gulf Arabs, China, Russia, Japan, and France Plot to Drop U.S. Dollar
by Steve RemingtonOctober 5, 2009
According to The Independent, this is a ‘graphic illustration of the new world order’… This does not come to much surprise, especially to economists who predicted this years ago. This comes just days after the President of the World Bank says he predicts the U.S. dollar to ‘eclipse’.
e-clipse
-noun, verb, e-clipsed, e-clips-ing.
–verb (used with object)
1. to cause to undergo eclipse: The moon eclipsed the sun.
2. to make less outstanding or important by comparison; surpass: a soprano whose singing eclipsed that of her rivals.
Instead of the U.S. dollar, they are pushing for the Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, the Euro, and even straight up gold. There have even been secret meetings held by finance ministers and central bankers in Russia, China, Japan, and Brazil. In the current economic status this would drive a huge stake through the heart of the American economy. Picture a fighting scene in the climax of a movie and the bad guy slowly gets beat up… taking hit after hit… and then finally the last drop kick sends the villain to his doom where he rots in hell for all eternity. Sounds a lot like the U.S. economy. It is bruised up, scarred, and needs time to regain strength when the last blow finally comes… The end of the dollar as a reserve currency.
Brazil, hosting one of the secret meetings, has shown a huge interest in buying oil with non-dollar payments. Same with India. But who seems to be the most enthused about it? If you guessed China then you’re absolutely correct.
China imports 60 per cent of its oil, much of it from the Middle East and Russia. The Chinese have oil production concessions in Iraq – blocked by the US until this year – and since 2008 have held an $8bn agreement with Iran to develop refining capacity and gas resources. China has oil deals in Sudan (where it has substituted for US interests) and has been negotiating for oil concessions with Libya, where all such contracts are joint ventures.
It is long over due. Ever since Bretton Woods, which changed the very way the modern international financial system ran, it left America’s trading partners to cope with Washington’s iron fist and massive world power. China wants that power the Americans had for so long. The Chinese believe President Obama is too busy trying to fix the U.S. economic destruction and therefore too preoccupied to concentrate on the more global consequences. Whether Obama is paying attention or not, the current deadline for the currency transition is 2018.
Whatever they have planned for the transition should have a lot of us who actually pay attention scratching our heads. One major Chinese banker said, “These plans will change the face of international financial transactions. America and Britain must be very worried. You will know how worried by the thunder of denials this news will generate.”
How can the citizens of the world prepare for such an overhaul in the financial system? Will this only pertain to buying and selling oil? Will this affect how an American businessman would purchase raw material for their business? Will this even affect the final consumer at the gas pump or purchasing oil to heat their homes?
Super Depression on the Horizon
by Steve RemingtonOctober 4, 2009
Things aren’t looking too good for those who are drinking the economic kool-aid. Although unemployment is higher… at a whopping 9.8%… (truly at 17%) and 1.5 million American workers out of a job will stop getting unemployment benefits by year’s end, 98 total bank failures this year so far just as regulators close banks in Colorado, Michigan, & Minnesota; retail sales are crapping the bed…, the Dow is still under 9,600, the USD is seeing new lows… and the U.N. calls for the replacement of the dollar… although this is happening we are coming out of a recession…. ??
The truth is, we aren’t falling as fast… we are actually falling faster. Imagine falling out of a plane with no parachute. At first you realize you are going to die… but you still have some time as you fall through the air to think about it. After several minutes of falling you have hit maximum velocity, therefore you have stopped accelerating. You begin telling yourself that things are actually improving since you are not increasing at the same rate of change. It is steady now and you have grown accustomed to it. Then you begin telling yourself that if you could slow your fall some how then you may actually survive it. So you spread yourself out and you feel the air and you realize now that instead of falling at 75 meters per second you have slowed to 55 meters per second. Is there really any hope of survival? Your destinations seems likely that you will die unless you can reverse course.
The following is an interesting interview. Have a listen…
Sarah Palin: Going Rogue
by Steve RemingtonOctober 2, 2009
So are you planning to read it? Well, it looks like 1.5 million copies are going to print. Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue: An American Life, which was originally due to be released next Spring, is going to be released on November 17, 2009. The former Alaskan Governor’s memoir shows a picture of herself in the outdoors on the front cover. Look closely and she is wearing an American Flag pin… Let the Liberals begin with the bashing…
From what I can see, all the liberal buzz is how she must have hires such a marketing genius to be able to be a top seller before the book even came out. Forget the fact people may be interested to read about how she was targeted my media wolves and her reputation was torn to shreds. It is funny how the liberals fear her. If Mitt Romney wrote a book, do you think the liberals would even care? Doubtful. The fact that they haven’t even read the book yet and are making jabbing comments is proof of the fear they have for Palin.
Jimmy Carter Pulls a 180; Denies He Ever Said Obama Critics Were ‘Driven’ by Race
by Steve RemingtonOctober 1, 2009
President Jimmy Carter said two weeks ago that Obama critics were driven by racism.
Have a listen:
Now, Carter is backpeddling. In a CNN interview with Candy Crowley he became overly defensive about the allegations. Crowley asked Carter, “Mr. President, let me ask you first- domestically, you made some remarks recently about how you felt about the protesters that were protesting against President Obama. You said, overall, you thought the protesters were upset that there was a black president, that there was racism involved.” The former president interrupted, “By the way, that’s not what I said.”
You be the judge. Listen to the audio once more.
Pawlenty Preparing for a 2012 Against the Obama-man?
by Steve RemingtonOctober 1, 2009
The Governor of Minnesota, Tim Pawlenty, has supposedly been assembling the “blueprint of a presidential campaign” and is soon to announce his support group. This article comes this morning from Politico.
The general consensus among fellow Republicans is that Pawlenty is looking to become the sole viable alternative to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Pawlenty has even crossed the boundary and contacted some of Romney’s former supporters.
The question we all are asking…. Can he really beat Obama?
