Alaska Gold Production Highest since 1916′s Rush
by Al Remington | November 10, 2009
An encouraging headline. Informative and news of two maga-mines to come to Alaska. The article began with: “HIGH PRICE: The 2 largest mines produce 84% of 800,000 ounces”.
while yesterday, this appeared in the paper: “Economist: Alaska Purchase Hasn’t Paid off for US”.
Dig into the Mega-mines to get a feel for what’s in the ground. Donlin sits on about 30 million ounces of gold. Pebble is estimated to contain 94 million ounces of gold.
Alaska panned out? Hasn’t paid off? The story panned out soon enough. Apparently Alaska was a lousey buy – nothing there. …at the end, “Canada should have bought it…”
It amazes me how little people like to work. EnviroMentalism is costing America too much – for nothing. Let’s get ‘them’ where they belong and get back to work and drill oil and dig mines -and get dirty!
