It’s Settled! Obama’s “Restore Scientific Process” Means His Science
by Tom RemingtonNovember 30, 2009
Climategate is the smoking gun. It is the biggest scandal to rock the scientific world since I don’t know when and everyone behind the con job are scrambling around to cover it up and pass it off as nothing more than a small group of scientists debating an issue. Sorry! That just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Earlier today we learned that the UN’s IPCC Climate guru, Rajendra Pachauri, said none of this leaked information would have any effect on the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW).
And now it appears the brain dead, repeat-after-me thugs at the White House press corp are pounding the same drum. According to Michelle Malkin, she says Robert Gibbs, White House press secretary, repeats pretty much what Pachauri mouthed earlier.
So now we have the final answer (yes, that’s my final answer) as to what Barack Obama meant back last March when he said he was going to “restore the scientific process to its rightful place”. Back then Obama seemed mostly to be referring to the Endangered Species Act.
By July, we had found out that Obama had appointed two whackos as his science and policy czars, Holdren and Sunstein, and we began to better understand Obama’s statement about whose science the President intended to “restore to its rightful place”.
If that isn’t quite enough to convince you that real science might not have a role in our society any longer, Malkin dug up another quote from Obama from back in March of 2009.
But let’s be clear: Promoting science isn’t just about providing resources — it’s also about protecting free and open inquiry. It’s about letting scientists like those who are here today do their jobs, free from manipulation or coercion, and listening to what they tell us, even when it’s inconvenient — especially when it’s inconvenient. It is about ensuring that scientific data is never distorted or concealed to serve a political agenda — and that we make scientific decisions based on facts, not ideology.
File that under lie number 2,385 of one of the promises Obama has made that he has not followed through on.
We now have it confirmed that what Obama meant about restoring science only pertained to his science and that of his fellow radicals. But people, this isn’t about science now is it? It’s really about control. Environmentalism at work, the kind that will strip us of our freedoms, destroy our way of life, wreck the U.S. and world economies and turn this country into just another nation under the dictatorial control of a global governance. We are to become subjects, always at the mercy of the “leaders” because of one crisis or another…….always a crisis isn’t there. Do you see any pattern here at all?
Climategate is a great opportunity for those interested in finding the truth to do so. We can expose this scam for what it really is and slow down the systematic march into the hells of socialism. But are there enough of us who want to? We shall see.

The coming of Caesar
by GunRights4USNovember 30, 2009
We have a problem. This could be “the big one”—bigger than coping with the Ahmadinejads, Kims, and Chavezes of the world and bigger than our current economic woes. Our republic, our society, may be heading for a crackup. We are bankrupt, both financially and politically.
The source of the problem is democracy. Decades of so-called “progressive” thought have led us to abandon the limited-government, constitutional republic established by our founding fathers. In the name of putting more power into the hands of "the people," the government has arrogated sweeping powers.
There is a famous passage (possibly cobbled together from several separate statements and authors) that explains democracy’s fatal flaw, the inherently self-destructive element that caused our founding fathers to distrust democracy (Google “James Madison on democracy” for more):
“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”
Crude, majoritarian democracy (as in, “there are more of us than there are of you, so we’re going to redistribute your wealth”) inevitably undermines the harmony of society. A free market, as competitive as it is, is based on peaceful, voluntary cooperation. When commerce is free and unfettered by government interference, both sides to a transaction normally gain, thereby promoting social harmony.
Democracy, by contrast, engenders social conflict. Money changes hands by force of the taxman and the threat of imprisonment, not voluntarily. Democracy pits citizens against each other in a sordid squabble whereby many strive to have the state confer benefits seized from their fellow citizens.
Today, Washington redistributes trillions of dollars annually, so the capital is swarmed by battalions of lobbyists, representing myriad special interests, each trying to secure more political rent from government than what government takes from them. As the late, great economist Hans Sennholz described it, the democratic "transfer society" resembles the absurd spectacle of a circle of people, each trying to pick his neighbor’s pocket. How can there be social harmony when everyone is trying to rip off someone else?
This process of using government to extract wealth from other citizens (dubbed “legal plunder” by the 19th-century French economist Frederic Bastiat in his brilliant essay, “The Law”) has reached the point where Uncle Sam is essentially bankrupt With government spending and deficits soaring under the present administration, the day of reckoning approaches. If foreigners should decide to cut their losses and balk at financing any more of our debt, either interest rates will soar, collapsing the economy, or the Fed will monetize all the debt, collapsing the dollar and the economy.
Can that day of cataclysm be postponed? Perhaps the wealth-redistribution system can be kept on life support a while longer, if government can confiscate a much larger share of the middle class’ wealth (yes, the middle class, because there aren’t enough rich people to finance all of Uncle Sam’s promises) or by dramatically slashing benefits.
When that momentous day arrives, there will be a lot of angry Americans.
One might say that the so-called “social contract” will be broken, but the problem is, there isn’t just one such “contract.” There are two, and they are fundamentally and irreconcilably opposed to each other.
One “contract” is the government’s long-standing promise to support those in need. Many Americans have been taught to believe that they are entitled to a share of other people’s property, even if they have contributed nothing of value to society themselves and have made poor choices. The other social “contract” is the traditional implicit promise of America: namely, that if you work hard, you are entitled to the fruits of your labor.
When a financial crackup occurs, those who have been taught to depend on government will demand continued government benefits. If government fails to provide them, those demands could turn violent. On the other hand, if government moves to confiscate a significant chunk of whatever wealth remains in the hands of an already-hurting middle class, then millions of peaceful, law-abiding, hard-working Americans may finally reach the breaking point and rebel, as our forebears did in the 1770s, against a government viewed as abusive and oppressive.
How bad could it get? If the social order breaks down, civil unrest could disrupt markets and shortages of essential goods could occur. The resulting chaos could trigger martial law. A strong leader—a Caesar—could institute some sort of command order. Millions would resent it, but it would be accepted, because the alternative—civil conflict, chronic disorder, and impending starvation—would be intolerable. In such a calamity, Caesar would be the lesser of two evils. The American Republic and Constitution would join earlier democracies in the ashbin of history.
God help us.

38 Onshore Oil and Natural Gas Lease Sales on Public Lands Set for 2010
by Al RemingtonNovember 29, 2009
This may indicate one of two things. More oil and gas or more lawsuits by enviroMentalists.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said on Tuesday the department next year will hold 38 onshore oil and natural gas lease sales on public lands, mostly in the West, including one in Alaska.
The announcement signals the Obama administration’s commitment to development of fossil fuels as it ramps up investment in energy production from renewable fuels, Salazar told reporters during a conference call.
“Our nation needs a balanced and appropriate use of our conventional and renewable energy resources. That means oil, gas and coal will continue to play an important role in our energy mix as we develop and expand the use of wind, solar, geothermal and other renewable sources,” he said.
Interior’s Bureau of Land Management conducts quarterly lease sales based on recommendations from industry. Bureau officials evaluate nominated lands with input from the National Park Service and the Fish and Wildlife Service and then delineate eligible property into parcels to be auctioned off.
In recent years between 40 percent and 50 percent of lease sales have been sidelined by costly lawsuits, many filed by environmental groups. Salazar said Interior is conducting a comprehensive review of the onshore program to clarify policies and reduce the likelihood of litigation in the future.
“Right now, too many leases from the federal government offered today get tied up in protests and litigation. It costs taxpayers money, it costs companies money and it wastes time,” he said.
“We believe industry deserves greater certainty when they go into a lease auction. They should never be given the false promise of a lease parcel next to a national park. The American people don’t want that, and industry shouldn’t want that either. The bottom line is Americans want a comprehensive energy strategy that includes coal, wind, solar and other resources,” he said.
Bob Abbey, director of BLM, said Tuesday’s announcement was intended to assure industry and the public that oil and gas development continues to be part of the nation’s energy portfolio.
The 2010 lease sales will include parcels in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska, and are scheduled for Aug. 11. “There’s certainly potential for oil and gas development in that area,” Abbey said. The last lease sale in the NPRA was in September 2008.

Welcome to Green Jobs Worldwide

Another HELMUT KAISER CUNSULTANCY Unternehmensberatung.
No job to big or small for Helmut. Nanotech, nano-biotech, nano-life science. It almost runs on like a song. “Nano-tech, nano-biotech, nano-life science, 2, 3, 4″…
Will nano tech in the brain conduct the same symphonies flesh and blood produce? Can they – it – evolve to do so?
Green Jobs Worldwild have large assumptive intentions; and flaunt Green Chemistry, Future Tehnologies (nano, to include; water, land, air, space, as large as imaginable for Green jobs and as small as you may not be able to imagine “in” the molecular world) and the green signs are every where.
Green Jobs, green cash and of course I wonder how inexpensive things will be with “new” technology that lets you be more efficient and save money. Or how long new technology takes to develope before they figure how to stop letting people starve to death for lack of industry.
What’s it all about? Millions upon millions of greed- I mean, green, that’s it. Green. And Molecular technologies, Science, Markets and Society-2015 and the development from nanotechnology and Nano-Bio-Neural (Cogno)-Info to a Molecular Industry 2004 to 2015, and overview of the book; worth the look.
Report: Summary about the state of Nanotechnology Industry Worldwide 2006-2015
by Al RemingtonNovember 28, 2009
Nanotechnology Goes Mainstream. Over 2500 Nanotechnology Based Products
Nanomedicine, Nanopharma, and all the related nano-industries will affect the traditional Life Science Industry by 60-80% within 10 years, as nanotechnology enables people to manipulate the molecules and atoms of the living beings.
However, two factors will greatly influence the development in different regions. One is the advances of instruments and tools of nanotechnology. They decide the accessibility to the nanoscale world. The other is legal and ethical acceptance. The attitudes to the innovations and new technologies affect largely the application of nanotechnology in Life Science.
The total market volume of nanotechnology in Life Science Industries amount to 8.1 billion US Dollars 2002. It is expected to surge to 29.9 billion US Dollars 2006 and reach 103.6 billion US Dollars 2010. The number of the companies involved in this field will increase from 600 in 2002 to 3000 by 2010.
The leading countries today are USA, Japan, China, Germany. China is now one of the world leaders in terms of its number of newly registered nanotechnology firms. Over the past three years, the number of companies in the field of nanotechnology in China has grown and reached over 600. This growth rate is very rapid and it does not show signs of slowing down. The sales to date have been largely domestic, but with the increasing global interest on the development of nanotechnology and with the advantage of modern communication we can safely speculate that this could be a very profitable investment in the near future.
Not only Life Sciences are included but also Automotive, Instruments and Tools to work with in the molecular world.
An explaintion of the Convergence of Molecular Technologies and an overview of the report is very interesting to say the least.
Astronomical amounts of money is being spent nanomizing food. The brain in next; after the automobile.
Good idea to save the brain nano-job for last, in case someone screwed-up with the food and cars.

War on Freedom Targets Yard Sales, Lemonade Stands, Fuel Cells
by Al RemingtonNovember 28, 2009
America will not stand…, for messing with their yard sales.
When government shows up at your yard sale and says you can not sell what is yours, to someone else, where is the end to which invasion of private property stops? Of all places…, my yard sale.
I bought everything in my yard sale. I don’t want it or need it and better yet, some of the items have an increased value. Tools hold value to a degree. They are usually available early, at a lot of yard sales and are fairly priced.
Tell me you don’t go to yard sales and I will ask you; why you turned your head as you drove past one. Turn around and go to the yard sale. You’ll come away with something; hopefully, it won’t be jail.
The federal government is poised to intervene in yard sales, flea markets, and against individuals selling any used goods that could be unsafe. Americans who slap even $1.00 price tags on used items are in danger of violating a new YARD SALE RULEBOOK being issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
CPSC says yard sale violators or vendors at Sunday afternoon flea markets are now subject to fines of up to $100,000 per transaction and up to $15 million for the related series of infractions. Such federal insanity is mirrored on the state level as well: In California, eight-year-old Daniela Earnest of Tulare was ordered to shut down her lemonade stand by the city council.
Environmental extremists are being given guns and arrest powers. As a New York Times article acknowledged, environmental police officers are now fining and routinely arresting people for the smallest of infractions – from busting stores that don’t promptly redeem deposits on cans and bottles, to measuring the length of fish in public markets and arresting merchants whose fish are too small, to stopping trucks and fining their drivers if too much smoke is coming out of their exhaust pipes.
After facing a secret indictment by the Fish and Wildlife Service for making a mistake on tulip importation forms, Kathy and George Norris’ home was raided by a six-member SWAT team. The house was ransacked, and their computers were taken away and examined. George Norris spent two years in a federal penitentiary because he could not produce all the paperwork for the orchids he had imported.
In a recent hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on crime, entrepreneur and inventor Krister Evertson told the amazing story of how the feds prosecuted him on a felony for failing to put a federally-mandated sticker on an otherwise legal UPS package he shipped with some of his supplies. After the fuel cell inventor was acquitted by a jury, the feds invented new charges that he had “abandoned” his fuel cell materials. Before Evertson got his life back, he spent nearly two years in prison.
I found this in a yard sale today:

What Diet Has America Chosen?
by Al RemingtonNovember 27, 2009
It’s obvious from looking around any grocery store (or watching any TV broadcast) in America that the nation has chosen to pursue a disastrously bad diet. The vast majority of “food” products sold at grocery stores are manufactured, processed foods made with chemical additives, cooked at high heats that produce dangerous byproducts, and then packaged in toxic packaging materials like plastics containing BPA.
America is addicted to fast foods and junk foods. People eat to fill their bellies and entertain their tongues, not to nourish their minds and bodies. Food has devolved from something that nourishes the body to a chemically-altered sensory addiction fabricated in a factory somewhere.
So instead of food being medicine, it has become a source of disease. And America is paying a dear price for choosing this route. All the negative repercussions of choosing a bad diet are now coming true in America: Increased crime and chronic degenerative disease, reduced cognitive function and productivity, huge increases in health care costs, rising infertility, increases in birth defects and mysterious neurological disorders, and so on.
These negative consequences of a bad diet are causing the rapid erosion of America’s economy. Faced with the burden of carrying tens of millions of sick people who could otherwise be productive if they had chosen the path of nutrition, the U.S. economy is dragged down by the weight of sickness and disease. Its competitiveness is drastically reduced by the suppressed cognitive function caused by processed foods and chemical additives. Its education system has fallen far behind world standards, thanks in large part to the brain-slowing junk foods children are fed at home and at school.
The result? A nation that can’t compete. And that sets off a
chain reaction…
